Prem Porihaash

Haatey aaka hridoyer haatchhani dekhi
money bhoy, eto noy porichito lekha
kotha kichhu dey dekha, majhe aka-buki
kolomer haath dhorey bhalobasha sekha.

Rongeen kaagojey mora upohaar ghirey
sajano royechhe daami golaaper tora
onek niraash hoye gechhe bujhi firey
bhalobasha-pakhider feriwallah ora.

Hoyto onek aalo, kolaholey metey
bhoole gechho, paglaamo gechhe bujhi theme
Hoytoba sobtai bhool shuru thekey
Jei shuru thekey tumi porechhiley preme.

I feel like Scrat, the unfortunate squirrel in the movie Ice Age, who never seems to get the apricot he is after.
Did get some idea, thanks to my abysmal knowledge of the sweet language, but I so want to understand what's written here, fully..

Nonetheless, its really great to see someone write in their mother-tongue. I wish i could attempt this myself. But believe me, as far as poetry is concerned, my mine can be a tough language to deal with!
