DREAMS OF DARKNESS

Light of the day
Can’t take them away
Darkness brings them close.

The foliage sway
Leaves wither away
Dreams come in a doze.

Sky littered with stars
Wise clock clobbers
Punctuated by some rain

Nature does repairs
Then why it mars
Sweet melody of refrains.

Night lures to sleep
Brings vision in heap
To give respite from all

The undead weep
Of agonies deep
Lighthouse appears small.

The gloom off goes
The east sky shows
A wine glass filled to brim

The crimson red
Spells life in dead
Night evaporates with dreams.
